Bogstonhill is a housing estate in the village of Houston, new Glasgow. It was developed in the 1960s as the small farming community of Houston was identified as a potential site for a new town in the makings of East Kilbride or Cumbernauld in Scotland. Although, this vision didn't happen, it still became a large village. Bogstonhill has a council estate with terraced housing at the foot of the hill and a private estate containing bungalows and detached housing at the top.
