Kelvin flats consisted of two 13 storey deck access blocks containing 948 flats built in Sheffield, England in

1967. The design was similar to the Hyde Park flats across the city. They were located on Infirmary Road, in the district of Walkley on the hillside overlooking the River Don.

The two blocks consisted of "four walks". The larger of the two blocks consisted of three walks - Edith Walk, Woollen Walk and Portland Walk. The smaller block consisted of Kelvin Walk itself.

They were demolished in about 1995, having become very run down with chunks of concrete falling off.

Apparently, in the 1980s, all the front doors to the flats were replaced at a cost of £1,000 per flat (when the Dole money was £28 per week). **
