Port Glasgow is a town in the Inverclyde region of Scotland. It is situated approximately 20 miles outside Glasgow city centre and is home to 20,000 people. Industry in the area is formerly based on shipbuilding however these have closed. It is similar to its larger neighbour Greenock in terms of affluence, as it is traditionally a working class area and much of its housing stock are in need of regeneration.
Port Glasgow is home to 3 tower blocks: Heather Court, Rowan Court and Thistle Court. These three were built in 1970 and are 15 storeys/41m tall. They are located at the edge of the town's Coronation Park.
