Scottish Homes were one of the largest landlords in the Uk during the 1990s. They were formed in April 1989 from the ashes of the Scottish Special Housing Association and became responsible for all the stock owned by its predecessor. They played a major role in regenerating and improving social housing all over Scotland before disbanding in 2005 to be replaced by Scottish Sanctuary Housing Association.
