Yoker is an area in Glasgow's west end on the north bank of the River Clyde. It was famous for it's ship yards in the 19th and 20th century and Yarrow, on the Scotstoun border is still in operation.

A small ferry links Yoker on the north bank to the town of Renfrew on the south bank as well as the Braehead Shopping Centre and Xscape activities venue.

It is bordered by Renfrew to the south, Garscadden to the west, Scotstoun to the east and Knightswood to the north.

Housing in the area is cottage flats developed during the inter war period that seen the area expand beyond Dumbarton Road. There are 2 storey flats that were built during the inter war period on Anniesland Crescent. Tenmental properties are more common - Victorian tenements on Dumbarton Road and post war tenements at Lesmuir Place. There are high rise estates at Blawarthill, Yokerburn and Halley Square.
